Things to know about the neuropsychological assessment
Neuropsychological assessment investigates changes in memory, attention and thinking that can occur as a result of brain injury or illness. It consists of an interview and a variety of tests, including puzzles, paper and pencil tasks and tests of memory, attention, etc. It is a long assessment and can take up to five hours.
We generally start the assessment at 10am and continue to 3pm, with a break for lunch. There are a variety of lunch options near the practice, or you can bring your own lunch. There is always an option of short breaks to minimise tiredness.
Please bring your glasses and hearing aids if you use them.
Using any illicit substances or significant amounts of alcohol 24 hours before the assessment is not a good idea as the results may not be valid. Prescription medication is fine.
The practice is easily accessed through public transport and there are several paid parking lots in the neighborhood.
Wheelchair ramp can be accessed through the cafe to the left of the front door. Please phone Izabela on 0407 866 579 if you need help in accessing the building.
